Hall Farm Barns

A range of 18th Century brick barns adjoining a Grade II listed stone farmhouse on the outskirts of a conservation village in the North York Moors National Park. Our brief was to create a large family home that retained the character and original features of the barn, but with an open, airy, contemporary feel.

Early discussions with planners and conservation offices were crucial to the success of the project which incorporates an extension housing a new kitchen/living/dining area and linking the two wings of the barn, forming an internal courtyard and greatly improving circulation within the building.
